The first in the series, ‘Laser Diffraction Masterclass 1 : Laser Diffraction Explained’, introduces the basic principles behind laser diffraction. It explains how measurements are carried out, how particle size distributions are calculated; some of the differences that exist between laser diffraction and other techniques for particle size analysis, and provides example applications of laser diffraction. Subsequent classes add a deeper understanding of various aspects of the laser diffraction technique such as method development, experimental practice, optical property selection and troubleshooting.
