Parker H2PD Fuel and Carrier Grade Hydrogen Generator

Fuel and Carrier Grade Hydrogen Generators Designed to Eliminate Costly Hydrogen Gas Cylinders available from Parker Balston

Haverhill, MA- July 26, 2012 : Parker Hannifin’s Filtration and Separation Division, the world leader in gas generation technology now offers Parker Balston® Hydrogen Gas Generators designed to eliminate expensive, high-pressure hydrogen gas cylinders from the laboratory. The current product offering has now been expanded to incorporate six different flow range models with a new user interface and high definition diagnostic display.

Parker Balston® Hydrogen Generators produce flows of 90 cc/min, 150 cc/min, 300 cc/min, 500 cc/min, 800 cc/min, and 1200 cc/min of ultra-pure hydrogen (99.99999%) gas safely and conveniently at regulated pressures from 0 to 100 psig, eliminating the need to interrupt analysis to change gas cylinders.

The new H2PD Hydrogen Generator Series has been engineered to comply with all current OSHA regulations concerning hydrogen. This state of the art technology requires little maintenance, uses deionized water and electricity to operate and includes automatic water fill features.

The Generator produces hydrogen gas through the electrolytic dissociation of water via a palladium membrane. Because of the small size, only hydrogen and its isotopes can penetrate the palladium membrane; therefore, the purity of the output gas is guaranteed to be 99.99999+%. This technology produces hydrogen gas at a purity level of two orders of magnitude greater than all desiccant or silica gel based systems. Each Generator is an excellent source of ultra pure, dry hydrogen for a wide range of laboratory uses. Hydrogen gas is used extensively with Gas Chromatographs, both as a fuel gas for Flame Ionization Detectors and as a carrier gas for high sensitivity Gas Chromatography with Thermal Conductivity Detectors and Hall Detectors. Other applications include hydrogenation reactions and engine gas emissions analysis.
