Bohemia, NY---Kinematica, Inc., is pleased to announce the introduction of the Tablet Disintegration System, Model PT-TDSZ, for quality control/quality assurance laboratories in the pharmaceutical industry. This system was developed for pharmaceutical companies who were experiencing difficulty in breaking apart hard or coated tablets for quality assurance or control testing of active incredients. This system has been found to effectively and efficiently process up to 20 tablets at one time which is required to analyze for minute amounts of active ingredients found in such tablets. The Tablet Disintegration System can break apart tablets to fine particle sizes in under 10 minutes which ensures that any released active ingredients will remain active and stable for subsequent extractions. The system generally consists of our PT 10/35GT and the PT-DA 30/2Z generator. If temperature sensitivity is a concern, then we can offer the PT 3100D instead which will monitor the temperature. The Z generator is easily attached to either motor and can be easily disassembled, cleaned and autoclaved between runs. For best efficiency we recommend the tablets be homogenized in one of our square glass beakers with the appropriate amount of liquid.
