LECO Corporation to Host e-Seminar on Finding Pesticide Residues in Difficult Matrices

St. Joseph, Mich.—On Tuesday, December 15, at 11 a.m. EST, LECO Corporation will hold a complimentary e-seminar, Needles in the Haystack: Finding Pesticide Residues in Difficult Matrices by Combining QuEChERS and SPE with GCxGC-TOFMS. This e-seminar will be presented by Dr. Julie Kowalski, Senior Innovations Chemist at Restek Corporation.

Determining low-level pesticide residues in difficult matrices such as cut rose leaves, powdered dietary supplements, and marijuana presents challenges for both sample preparation and analysis methods. This live, 45-minute presentation will explore how QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged, Safe) sample preparation and cartridge Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) sample clean-up can be combined with two-dimensional Gas Chromatography Time-Of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (GCxGC-TOFMS) to create a powerful tool for pesticide residue analysis, enhancing both selectivity and sensitivity as much as possible for non-targeted analysis. Audience members will have the opportunity to interact with the presenter and to submit questions about the topic.

This complimentary e-seminar is part of an ongoing series offered by LECO on various topics of interest to lab managers and technicians. Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, visit www.leco.com and click “e-Seminars” under the “Resources” tab.
