Porvair Sciences has developed black microplates that minimize sample exposure to light and reduce light related sample degradation. The black microplates are available in 48, 96, and 384 well varieties and are applicable to ANSI/SLAS dimensions to ensure compatibility with most readers and automated equipment.
The enhanced microplates are made from polypropylene and exhibit heat and solvent resistant capabilities. They are developed using ultra-pure grade polymer and near-zero leachates to ensure long-term sample integrity. Plates are supplied RNase/DNase free enabling sensitive biological sample storage. The light-blocking and absorbing properties used with the Absorb Max sealing films provides optimized protection for light-sensitive assays or samples during storage.
