CSIRO and Piotrek Collaboration to Revolutionize Lithium Battery Technology

A collaboration between CSIRO and Piotrek is leading to the next generation of lithium battery technology. The partnership is set for development on Solid Polymer Electrolytes (SPEs) and will be relying on CSIRO’s RAFT polymer technology and Piotrek’s Ion Conducting Polymers. The symbiosis of these two technologies will increase both the efficiency and safety of next-generation lithium batteries as well giving both partners a better market advantage.

According to Ihei Sada, the general manager at Piotrek, “Together we will develop the world’s safest, longer life solid-state high energy battery.”
