Asynt has developed a new device, the FroSyn, to provide a fluid-free cooling plate to ensure rapid cooling of samples in vials and round bottom flasks (up to 500 mL) to temperatures below -60 °C. This novel device allows is a sustainable alternative to using traditional ice and dry ice cooling baths.
The Pt100 sensor positioned in the insulated base plate enables the user to set a defined plate temperature (down to -70 °C) and removes the risk of temperature fluctuations. The FroSyn is unique in that the user is able to generate stable and controlled sub-ambient performance allowing for low risk overnight applications.
