ROSS has developed its 600-gallon ROSS VersaMix Model VM-600. Equipped with high-speed subsurface powder induction and ROSS Solids/Liquid Injection Manifold (SLIM).
SLIM incorporates powder or liquid phases into the rotor-stator mix head, generating instant wet out as it rotates (3,600 RPM). The dual-post triple-shaft design has been optimized with this feature to streamline the processing of substantial powder phases. The anchor agitator moves product from the high shear rotor-stator head to a high-speed dispersing head, which deagglomerates remaining fisheyes. The SLIM feature accelerates loading phases exponentially, enabling quick mixing of large batches throughout the process industry. The design is available in a laboratory scale to upwards of 4,000 gallons.
