Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - January 2011 - The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) and Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) announced the February - June 2011 schedule of educational teleconferences for clinical, public health, and veterinary laboratories. Teleconference speakers are subject matter experts from CLSI who are involved in creating CLSI standards and guidelines. Based on current CLSI documents, the programs are intended to help pathologists, managers, supervisors, and laboratory professionals learn how to optimize practices and processes in their laboratories.
Laboratory professionals can obtain critical updates and information based on recognized standards and guidelines through these educational teleconferences, which feature topics of importance to clinical and public health laboratories. "Teleconferences help extend a laboratory's finances, as an unrestricted number of staff can attend and earn continuing education credits," said Marcy Anderson, MS, MT(ASCP), Director, Development and Education, CLSI.
