Freezing Microtome Stage

A freezing microtome (sometimes used with a cryostat) is designed to freeze a specimen so that it can be hard enough to accurately sliced by the microtome without destroying it. The freezing microtome can utilize temperature typically ranging from -60 °C to 0 °C for freezing. These freezing microtomes can used for thin slicing of an array of products and specimens including leather, textiles, food products, as well as human and animal tissue samples.
