15 mL tubes are well suited for centrifugation but can be cumbersome when working with smaller volumes in the 2-4 mL range. These 5 mL tubes are the same shape as standard 15 mL tubes but shorter to facilitate working with smaller volumes. This is especially useful if you are pelleting cells from 2-3 mL media. These tubes fit the same centrifuge buckets and racks as 15 mL tubes.
