I typically use homemade 2% agarose gel electrophoresis to resolve DNA fragments between 100-200 bp. I tried the same gel for resolving an 80 bp DNA fragment but it did not go well. I tried this 10% TBE gel and it resolved much better. Staining the gel in Ethidium Bromide solution after the run for 30 min is sufficient.
