Agilent Technologies and Marine Institute to Host Research and Technology Workshop in Galway, Ireland

CORK, Ireland, 2 September 2013 – Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that it will co-host a one-day workshop with the Marine Institute, Ireland’s national marine research agency, at its headquarters in Galway, Ireland, on 11 September.

Keynote speakers will include Dr. Philipp Hess of France’s Laboratoire Phycotoxines; professor Joerg Feldmann from the University of Aberdeen’s Element Speciation Laboratory; and Philip White and Andrew Morrissey, senior chemists at the Marine Institute. These and other scientists will discuss how they are using LC/MS, GC/MS and ICPMS technologies to advance the field of marine research.

Agilent customers and scientists involved in chemical monitoring of the marine environment and marine food resources are invited to register for the event by 10 September.

  • “Target Quantitation and Metabolic Studies of Marine Biotoxins in Shellfish Using LC QTOF Technology,” presented by Dr. Philipp Hess, Laboratoire Phycotoxines, Infremer, Nantes, France.
  • “Persistant Pollutant Monitoring in Marine Waters,” presented by Philip White, Marine Institute
