New Systems and Combinations for Chromatography, TOC and Particle Measurement Technology

New online TOC with extended applications / Anniversaries in UV-VIS-NIR and FTIR spectroscopy / eco-labeled systems support environmental protection and cost reduction

March 22, 2012 - Shimadzu, one of the worldwide leading manufacturers in analytical instrumentation, will present new developments in various application areas during analytica 2012 in Munich, Germany. Shimadzu’s LC, GC, MS and TOC systems as well as its particle measurement technology emphasize the company’s innovative strengths to constantly extend technological borders. From 17 to 20 April 2012, German premieres and latest developments are on display in hall A1, stand 401/502. In addition, FTIR spectroscopy is celebrating its 55th birthday and UV-VIS-NIR spectroscopy its 60th anniversary – e.g. with the UV-2700 scanning spectrophotometer series.

Image 1: premiere in Germany: the new online TOC-4200 analyzer.

  • German premieres – the new TOC-4200 online analyzer series offers connections to bidirectional communication networks and a web-based monitoring function. Numerous kits ensure extended applications.

Image 2: Instruments awarded with Shimadzu’s eco-label save at least 25% of energy compared to predecessor models while reducing operating costs (for instance Nexera MP andTOC-L)

  • Energy miracle – Shimadzu’s instruments increasingly meet the strict requirements of the company’s eco label. In addition, at least 25% energy savings compared to predecessor models reduce operating costs (for instance Nexera MP and TOC-L)
  • Comprehensive polymer analysis – in collaboration with the company Frontier Lab, Shimadzu offers a versatile tool for the comprehensive analysis of polymer samples. The pyrolyzer completes the GCMS-QP2010 quadrupole series.
  • Multitalent in particle measurement technology – The SALD-2201 combines wide measuring ranges with high flexibility, particularly in the upper micrometer to lower nanometer range.

  • Anniversaries – for its 60th anniversary in UV-VIS-NIR spectroscopy, Shimadzu as the market leader in this technology presents the new UV-2700 scanning spectrophotometer series. For the first time, the in-house developed optics will be on display. In addition, FTIR spectroscopy celebrates its 55th birthday.
  • Highest flexibility –the technologically leading chromatographs can be applied in a flexible way in LC, LC/MS and LC/MS/MS analyses
