Ultraviolet Light Sources (UV Light Sources)

UV light sources for spectroscopy come in a variety of options, each with their own benefits and drawbacks. One of the most common UV sources is a deuterium lamp however sources can also be xenon, mercury, or tungsten halogen as well. Many light sources meet a certain number of requirements, however more than one is generally needed in order to fulfill them all. Ideally, spectroscopy light sources should be bright across a range of wavelengths, have a long service life, and be moderately priced.
