  • Good Kit for Infusion Cloning

    Thursday, October 14, 2021
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the cloning. Ensure the DNA for this reaction (mostly digested and gel eluted) is purified properly or else the reaction won't work. Calculate molar ratios properly for optimal results. read more
  • Efficient Antibody for Staining GLAST

    Monday, August 09, 2021
This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against GLAST/EAAT-1. It works well at a 1:300 dilution, all other parameters of standard IHC protocol, with and without antigen retrieval. Image here shows GLAST staining (red) of inner phalangeal and inner border cells lying adjacent to hair cells (green) in an... read more
  • Excellent Mouse Myo7a Antibody

    Tuesday, August 03, 2021
This is a great mouse alternative to the rabbit Myo7a antibody popular to stain cochlear hair cells within the inner ear. This antibody definitely requires an antigen retrieval step (incubation in 10mM sodium citrate buffer at 85 deg for 15 minutes). It works well at 1:200 dilution on both whole ... read more
  • Best Antibody for Cochlear Hair Cells

    Friday, July 30, 2021
A 4 day old mouse cochlea has been stained with the Rabbit Myo7a polyclonal antibody. Dilution- 1:300. Antibody works with and without antigen retrieval. This antibody works in a wide range of primary incubation times and temperatures (4 deg, Overnight, room temperature for 2 hours, 37 deg one hour ... read more
  • Great Antibody for Sox9 Staining

    Wednesday, July 28, 2021
I used the anti-Sox9 antibody to stain a 1 day old mouse cochlea and visualize Sox9 expression in all regions. The antibody worked well in the first attempt and there were no issues when used directly on the tissue or on OCT/Gelatin sections. Antibody dilution is 1:200. Works with and without ... read more
  • Works Well for In Vivo EdU Incorporation and Detection

    Friday, July 23, 2021
Simple assay and excellent results for in vivo work! Mice are injected subcutaneously at a dose of 50mg/kg body weight at regular intervals as chosen for the experiment. Fix and process the tissue (4% PFA + dissection into PBS or cryosectioning). Follow manufacturer's protocol designed for in vitro... read more
  • Works fine if not the best to stain cochlear hair cells

    Monday, February 22, 2021
I used this antibody to stain hair cells in the cochlea. The antibody worked with slightly harsh antigen retrieval conditions of 95+ deg C temperature for 20-30 min. This antibody worked on gelatin sections but did not work on whole inner ear tissue! read more
