• Forever Chemicals: Contamination in Food and Packaging

In February 2024, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that substances containing PFAS used as grease-proofing agents on paper and paperboard for food contact use are no longer being sold by manufacturers into the U.S. market. This phase-out eliminates the primary source of exposure to PFAS from food contact uses; but, there are others. Due to PFAS persistence—and ability to contaminate sensitive matrices—ultra-sensitive testing methods are critical for quantification and screening. Through interviews with chemists, researchers and environmental specialists, this documentary discusses how PFAS infiltrates the food supply chain, and how regulations, requirements and methods have all been enacted to help ensure the health and safety of humans of all ages.
  • Forever Chemicals: Preparing and Modernizing for Proposed National PFAS Regulations Documentary

Growing research has revealed not only the persistence and bioaccumulation of PFAS, but also the wide scope of PFAS pollution and its potential impact on human health. Through compelling interviews with chemists, researchers and environmental specialists, this documentary highlights and discusses the need for sensitive testing and thorough analysis to not only meet regulations, but to ensure the health of humans.
  • Ushering Lithium-ion Batteries Toward their Full Potential Documentary

Alternative energy sources offer an avenue to combat climate change, reduce carbon emissions and lower energy costs. Rechargeable, high-capacity energy storage materials, such as lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, play a key role in supporting these goals. Thus, interest in these materials has soared in recent years. Instrument manufacturers are working to bring powerful and sensitive solutions to scientists across the entire battery research workflow, from mining to raw materials, contaminants, QC, recycling and more.
